Game of Thrones is a show that is dense with lore and backstory, even if it is only touched on every now and then. George R.R. Martin expands on it more in his books, and we’ve got the whole timeline spelled out for you, from the first actions of men recorded in Westeros to the events that directly set the pieces in place for the show.

Need a refresher on the game of thrones lore before getting into House of the Dragon? Hey it’s nothing to be ashamed of, It’s been a few years since the original series ended and I really wouldn’t blame anyone for checking out completely after its very controversial conclusion.

If you’re one of those people, or you’re just looking for a quick overview of the game of thrones timeline compressed into 15ish minutes then you’ve clicked on the right video. Just keep in mind that there will be some corners cut here and there in order to fit this into 15ish minutes.

The first episode of House of the Dragon has been released to much critical acclaim, positive reception from fans, and became the most viewed HBO premiere clocking in at an astounding 10 million viewers. Now I don’t want to jinx anything, but things are lining up for the GOT franchise to redeem itself after its very controversial ending.

Of course we didn’t get a chance to cover all of the plotlines throughout the show, but hopefully this quick overview of all the major events got you as excited as I am to dive back into the world of the iron throne, let’s just cross our fingers that the quality stays consistent this time around!
